About Us

Nicholas Rowell Haulage was started in 1973 by Nicholas and Judith Rowell. The business has since grown from strength to strength to the established company we are today. We are based from our yard at Torr Quarry, near Kingsbridge in South Devon and we run our tipper vehicles throughout Mid and South Devon and East Cornwall and our articulated fleet all over the UK.

We joined the family business after finishing school in the mid 90’s and spent the next few years focusing on learning every aspect of the business from delivering loads as far as Scotland, to learning the ins and outs of the workshop. We then took the reins in 2012 when Dad took a step back from the day to day running. The business is still very much family run, and you’ll often see Dad driving round the countryside in our tipper lorries.

Being a local family run business we always like to help out where we can and support the local community.  We aim to provide all our customers with a reliable, efficient and friendly service at all times.
